FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

|
What is the length of the straps? They can lengthen to reach 9.5 feet from ceiling anchor to the floor. See this diagram.
What makes VEGAS-PRO so good? The VEGAS PROŽ system can be attached from one single point or from two separate points of contact. The straps are able to attach to tree limbs, beams, rafters or door jambs. The EPDM foam grips are much more durable than other grips and more comfortable to help prevent nerve damage. The grips are angle-adjustable to allow horizontal and vertical angles for triceps workouts with a hammer grip.
Can I adjust the height of the straps for pull-ups and push-ups? The straps can reach floor level (depending on the height of the anchor) for push-ups and higher for pull-ups. Plus, you can do regular dips without interference like other straps. The straps are designed for 8-9 ft. ceilings.
How do they attach to my door? You open the door and slip the two anchors over the door. Then, shut the door toward you making sure the door is shut tight and latched before using. Also, advise others that you are exercising and not to use the door. Back to Top
How strong are your straps? We tested one strap and handle with cam-buckle to over 1400 lbs., this means the straps can handle 2800 lbs!
Do I need to change the straps between door and ceiling anchors? No. The anchors come with their own set of adjustable straps and cam-buckles unlike other systems. So you don't have to thread the buckles. Simply unlatch the carabiners and clip them to the chosen strap, either for ab-slings or for EPDM grips.
Do you provide suggested exercises? Yes, the straps come with an exercise and instruction booklet (60 pages), that shows several exercises, and gives instructions for proper use.
Why are these straps so good for muscle size and strength? Because of the vacillating effect. The straps have a tendency to move as you perform the exercises, this moving or vacillating causes the stabilizing muscles to work harder to control the movement. This is very critical for building maximum core strength and size.
You say core strength, what do you mean? Technically, there are no stabilizing muscles per se' in the body, it's a misnomer describing the combined traditional muscles which work synergistically to stabilize the body, this combination is referred to as the core muscles, and their power or strength is the combined strength of several muscles working together. The strength of a person is only as strong as his weakest muscle. If your core is to be strong you must build your stabilizing muscles.
Don't regular exercises build strength? Yes. But to build maximum strength you must build your stabilizing muscles. You simply can not build them without destabilizing them. This is where the VEGAS PROŽ will really help you the most Their very purpose is to create an environment in which the muscles are destabilized. It really is a break-through in training science we all seek.
Are the straps for advanced fitness only? No. They are designed to be used by beginners and advanced users. The resistance is light to heavy. For tall people and short. Men, women and kids. Also, very effective tool for rehabilitation. By changing the angle the weight is changed to your desire.
I've seen other strap systems out there, why is VEGAS PROŽ better? Other systems have limitations and are more money. VEGAS PROŽ is the most versatile strap system available, patent pending, and copyright pending. Designed to accommodate all workout needs. Other straps hit your shoulders and arms when doing push ups due to the single-point anchor system. VegasPROŽ has two straps instead of just one.
Why are VEGAS PROŽ less money? We calculated the cost to advertise and distribute feasibly across the US and the price is fair to allow more people the opportunity to use them. Over time our sales will out pace all other brands due to our price, quality and functionality. We concentrate on volume.
Why do you use carabiners? So you can exchange the handles for ab-slings in just seconds. Other systems require more fiddling around with the straps, we believe you want to get to work as time is money you will be glad you have them. Not to mention, they are used for rock climbing and mountain climbing, and must meet strict strength and performance standards. We could use cheap, weaker fasteners, but we take safety as our main concern.
How do you anchor them? Good question. Any strong overhead support will work. Some people use eye bolts, but they must be installed correctly so they do not fail (user assumes all risk). Exposed beams or rafters in a garage work well. Tree limbs are great if it is strong enough to hold your weight, the straps can be adjusted easily to be level with the ground. Pull up bars, monkey bars, or gym equipment like power racks work well too. The door anchors are great for travel or if you don't have an overhead anchor, in which case you should only order the door gym.
Why don't you recommend eye bolts for overhead anchors? Only because we don't want the liability if someone gets injured due to faulty installation. An eye bolt must be correctly installed or it can have weaknesses leading to injury. Therefore, it is solely up to the purchaser to decide if eye bolts are a good overhead anchor to use. However, many customers say the use eye bolts for the anchor. We simply do not recommend this method for liability reasons.
16. You have 10 different variations, why? Because we listen to our customers. They all have very specific needs, and we meet or exceed their needs by offering several optional systems.
17. Other strap systems offer DVDs, and wall charts. Yes, they do. We are working on some at this time. Our company is developing several workouts and suggested exercise routines that will be available in the near future. Please bookmark this site.
18. Do you advertise? Yes, we have several magazine ads and are working on TV ads as well.
