FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
|
|
Q: What is the length of the straps? A: They can lengthen to reach 9.5 feet from ceiling anchor to the floor. See this diagram.
Q: What makes VEGAS-PRO® so good? A: The VEGAS PROŽ system can be attached from one single point or from two separate points of contact. The straps are able to attach to tree limbs, beams, rafters, railing or any strong overhead support. The EPDM foam grips are much more durable than other grips and more comfortable to help prevent nerve damage. The grips are angle-adjustable to allow horizontal and vertical angles for triceps workouts as with a hammer grip.
Q: My other straps hit my neck and shoulders when doing push ups, will VPS™ system? A: No, you can locate the straps wide enough to keep them from rubbing your shoulders and neck. This is huge advantage over single-point attachment systems like TRX.
Q: Can I attach VPS™ to my door? A: Yes. Our door anchors are the best you can get. You simply open the door and slip the two anchors over the door. Then, shut the door towards you making sure the door is shut tight and latched before using. Also, advise others that you are exercising and not to use the door.
Q: How strong are your straps? A: We tested one strap and handle with cam-buckle to over 1000 lbs., this means the straps can handle 2000 lbs!
Q: Do I need to change the straps between door and ceiling anchors? A: No. The anchors come with their own set of adjustable straps and cam-buckles unlike other systems. So you don't have to thread the buckles. Simply unlatch the carabiners and clip them on.
Q: Do you provide suggested exercises? A: Our exercise and instruction booklet (60 pages), that shows several exercises, and gives instructions for proper use is optional on some systems.
Q: Why are these straps so good for muscle size and strength? A: Because of the vacillating effect. The straps have a tendency to move as you workout, causing the stabilizer muscles to work harder. This is very critical for building maximum core strength and size.
Q: You say core strength, what do you mean? A: Technically, there are no stabilizing muscles per se' in the body, it's a misnomer describing the combined traditional muscles which work synergistically to stabilize the body, this combination is referred to as the core muscles, and their power or strength is the combined strength of several muscles working together. The strength of a person is only as strong as his weakest muscle. If your core is to be strong you must build your stabilizing muscles.
Q: Don't regular exercises build strength? A: Yes. But to build maximum strength you must build your stabilizing muscles. You simply can not build them without destabilizing them. This is where the VPS™ make their mark. There really is nothing like them.
Q: Are the straps for advanced fitness only? A: No. They are designed to be used by beginners and advanced users. The resistance is light to heavy. For tall people and short. Men, women and kids. Also, very effective tool for rehabilitation. By changing the angle the body in relation to the straps the weight increases or decreases as you desire.
Q: I've seen other strap systems out there, why is VPS™ better? A: Other systems have limitations and are more money. VPS™ is the most versatile strap system available, patent pending, and copyright pending. Designed to accommodate all workout needs. Other straps hit your shoulders and arms when doing push ups due to the single-point anchor system. VPS™ has two straps instead of just one.
Q: Why is VPS™ less money? A: Get them now at our introductory prices. They will go up in price soon!
Q: Why do you use carabiners? A: So you can exchange the handles for ab-slings in just seconds.
Q: How do I anchor them? A: Any strong overhead support will work. Some people use eye bolts, but they must be installed correctly so they do not fail (user assumes all risk). Exposed beams or rafters in a garage work well. Tree limbs are great if it is strong enough to hold your weight, the straps can be adjusted easily to be level with the ground. Pull up bars, monkey bars, or gym equipment like power racks work well too. The door anchors are great for travel or if you don't have an overhead anchor, in which case you should only order the door gym.
Q: Why don't you recommend eye bolts for overhead anchors? A: Only because we don't want the liability if someone gets injured due to faulty installation. An eye bolt must be correctly installed or it can have weaknesses leading to injury. Therefore, it is solely up to the purchaser to decide if eye bolts are a good overhead anchor to use. However, many customers say the use eye bolts for the anchor. We simply do not recommend this method for liability reasons. See our anchors under parts.
Q: Will you offer DVDs on your straps? A: Yes, we are working on some at this time. Our company is developing several workouts and suggested exercise routines that will be available in the near future. Please bookmark this site.
